Hey gang, my thoughts are on the Lions-Pats game....at least they won. My main point is that it can be a great tool used by BB to motivate a 9-3 team. Each game you need intensity, and that is one of the reasons it is so hard to win regularly in the NFL is cause you have to bring that level of intensity each week. I am sure it is not easy...much respect goes out to the players and coaches. Lots of things have to be worked on from here on out...I still have confidence in this team, and I would esp. like to see them knock off Denver...

Just please HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL....

There is a much over-used sporting saying oever here: that good teams know how to win when playing badly.

Aside from a handful of excellent individual performances (step forward, Reche) and some evidence that the part of Tom Brady that handles the fourth quarter pressure and comebacks is still in there and doing fine, that is about the best you can say about this win: that our team is a good one, and can get it done when playing badly.

But we are about one step away from being a not-very-good team that gets lucky. And that's a worry.

I'm not too upset at the Patriots level of play yesterday. The Pats had just played their most physical game of the season verses the Bears and then had to play an unfamiliar team that had an extra 3 days of rest and preparation. Take the W and move on.
Turnovers are this team's achilles heal, though. Brady seems to have one bone-headed throw each game...and Watson needs to do some curls. Eliminate the TOs and think about the blowouts that could be had.

Something like that. The schizophrenic Patriots. I don't know what to make of them. Last night was proper bad. That bad next week = loss number 4.

That said, I still think there is a ton of potential in this team, and on a mistake free night (I know, I know) we have the beating of every team in the league.

I won't complain about the win, but

When is this team going to put together an around "A" effort?? I hope we are saving our best football for the playoffs.

Take away a couple of the turnovers and the gift PI calls, the Pats would have blown out the Bears. Grossman is TERRIBLE. That team is winning in spite of him.

This team stunk against the Colts and still was in a position to tie the game.

What happens when they play a turnover free/penalty free game? They could beat any team in the league if they eliminate the fumbles and stupid penalties.

Look at the glass as half full. This team still has not played it's best football yet.
