Post Bears better than I expected

Even though the zebras basically gave them 10 points on 2 total bs calls I thought their D was as good as advertised.

Having said that the Pats took the best shot from what some think is the best NFC team and came out standing proud.

The Pats D confused the ever living ***** out of Grossman.

The Bears were just about what I expected, which is to say, not good enough to beat a good AFC team. If we could catch the ball, hold onto the ball, and if the refs didn't suck some serious ass, that game is a blowout.

I'll give them that call against Hobbs, though it should have been illegal contact. The first one was absolute bs. The officiating today was atrocious.

At the risk of sounding silly, they are who I thought they were.

They look like the old Pats. Punching the ball out of the hands of the opponent and causing turnovers.

i think we could of won by more...the Watson fumble..which is snatched up by Caldwell..who fumbles..thats the WTF play of the game..Watson gets hit and ball pops up..that was easily preventable. Brady's fault on 2nd INt..too high for Troy

but i'll stop with negativity for now..let us enjoy this great win...we'll talk about mistakes later in week

Lions next? rawr

Overall the Bears seemed like an above average team, but not a top team. However clearly they found a major weakness in the Pat's run defense between Wilfork and Warren once Seau went out.

Also clearly teams have discovered Hobbs can't defend a ball thrown where the receiver has to catch it high. Also Hobbs is fouling the receiver too much defending a long ball because he seems to get out of position. He looks over-matched against good receivers.

However clearly the Pat's passing game is improving each week. Jackson muffed a long ball he should have caught for a possible TD. The officiating seemed fine to me.

In all acutality, the Bears were as Denny Green said "Exactly who I thought they were......a team with a very good defense and a very, very OVERRATED QB and offense. In all honesty, this game should not have even been close. Pats showed that they were a much better team all around. With the exception of several HORRIBLE penalty calls that allowed them to rack up their points, and also a large amount (UNCHARACTERISTICALLY for the most part) of Pats turnovers...allowed them to hang around.......If the Bears are the best the NFC has to offer...it will be another AFC SB champ again this year.......Grossman as I said before, is a very average at best QB who got lucky early,....and is now coming back to earth.....one man's opinion....GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were I guess what I thought they were as well. not as good as a 9-1 record that is.
There defense was good, but didnt seem to give us fits like Denver can. We blew many opportunites to put more points on the board.... give them credit for the take-a-ways as well, but very un-patriot-like.
As far as the officials. The thing that pissed me off the most was that they didnt call the one on C. Jackson for faceguarding (while it would have been borderline) but then turned around and on one of the next drives called one that was not Pass Interference on Hawkins. The hobbs one I could see being called although obviously I didnt agree with it 100% being a pats fan and looking through my red, white, and blue glasses....
over all it would have been VERY dissapointing to "blow" this game because thats what it would have been if we lost.
we will need to continue to get better, like always. but very happy to come out with a win over what was considered the best of the NFC (I think it is now dallas with a passing game)

Actually, I was not impressed. In many ways, this game was similar to the Indy game. We turned the ball over way too many times. Indy has a great offense that can beat you. The Bears do not.

The Bears had not given up more than 300 yards in any game before this game. We got 350+. If we can learn how to handle the ball, we could be very, very good. That said, if we could just play at home like we play on the road, it would be fantastic.
