Pretty nice to see ... no reason we can't be 5th in points scored as the offense improves...not sure we crack the top 4 as we tend to play a bit conservative with the ball.

Defensively I expect the Patriots to at least stay in the top 5...no reason barring injuries for that to change.

I've checked other SB teams and Belichick SB teams and being in the top 5 in both categories is as about as good as it gets....unreal really CONSIDERING SALARY CAP IMPLICATIONS OF HAVING A GOOD OFFENSE AND DEFENSE.

it was because pats had the easiest schedule in the NFL... facing Buffalo twice, winning against the worst team, Dolphins, and barely beating a medicore Jets team.

Actually the combined record of teams facing Denver is 18-18

The combined record of teams facing the Patriots is 18-22

Not much difference 4 teams Patriots played have played 7 games.

A very glaring Weakness of the Broncos is that they have
scored 79 pts which puts them next to last at #31. Only Oakland at 72 points is worse.

I'll take 5th and 10th over 1st and 31st any day of the week.
Seeing how the records of the opponents is quite similar...your offense is in rough shape...as we all know Defense wins Super Bowls all day long. This topic is more suited to the Interleage forum...so I'll leave this as it is...if you want to compare the teams...start a thread in the Interleague forum.

Thanks for invigorating me to check furthur.

This isn't even close to the easiest sched.....you jag-off!

We've played Denver,Cinn and the Jets,
who are 4-3.

More significant is that in 6 games,
no one has scored more than 17 against us.
Not the best, but pretty damn good.

When you consider that we knelt on the ball in easy scoring range a few games we easily could be 5th already in points scored (though maybe some of the other teams ahead of us also have done the same) Still not bad for an offense with bad play calling.
