Default Depth: If we need help

We have great depth at almost every position. We are OK at linebacker with Banta-Cain, Alexander and Woods capable of taking more reps, if the need arises.

bb is still looking for "more" depth at corner, safety, special teams and wide receiver. We can do with what we have as we demonstrated this past Sunday. We have a couple of emergency receivers on the Practice Squad that have played in games for the patriots. At this point we are dangerously thin at WR, S and CB. For example, if no on improves, is Sanders starting at safety? Is Don Davis the game day backup?

Our FO is active every week. They will be especially active in the bye week when they have a couple of days when they can talk to players without interupting the team. There should little of value available in street free agents. Somehow, pioli seems to be able to find players in this situation. Iwoume is a major pickup as a street free agent in the middle of the season, as would be any of the wide receivers if they turn out to be contributers.

hawkins i believe has surpassed sander on the depth chart at safety IMO.

cb is shaky. if asante or scott goes down while hobbs is out, who do they turn to? most likely wilson will be the cb ahead of poteat.

Hawkins did not surpass Sanders. Hawkins has -always- been ahead of Sanders. The only exception has been when Hawkins has been dinged up health-wise.
