I will note that I do not disagree with any of bb's wider receiver moves, and I certainly expect a couple of more before we solidify the 2007 squad. Gabriel was a steal if we gave up a 3rd.
and that is why we all have our own indivdual opinons.... I do not think anything is really "clear" in football though, which is why we can have these kind of discussions.
But I believe gabriel has an edge over givens already and will continue to have next year (he is on the field and contributing).
Living up to potential is something we will have to see from Jackson, but if he does do so he should be more productive than Branch.
That is why I have them as 1a and 1b much like Branch and Givens were last year
And Troy Brown, who I love as much as anyone else does had 39 grabs for 466 yards which I think Caldwell should very well accomplish next year, if not this year as well.
The 2005 #1 passing offense we all know was very slanted because we werent able to run the ball and not something that BB or Tom Brady would want to have to do again.

So far, from what I've seen, Gabriel:

1) Catches the ball with his hands very well and does not 'bread basket' the ball.

2) Runs pretty good routes. He changes directions well for a big guy.

3) For his size he's very quick and has good speed.

4) Does not block as big as his frame suggests he should.

Bad execution on offense? The opposing defense? R-E-A-L-I-T-Y.

Yeah they are just terrible....of course being the 4th rated offense in the NFL doesn't mean anything anymore....

I was not implying anything about our performance thus far, I was implying that more could stop our offense than bad playcalling.

Please look at the context of a comment, not just the comment itself.

I know, I WAS AGREEING with you. My post was in reference to NEM's broken record how the Patriots offensive playcalling...no matter who calls the plays sucks even when they are winning Super Bowls and going 34-4 over a two year span. I bet many teams and fans wish thier team was soooo handicaped...

Although, I saw it early.

The offensive playcalling was very restrictive, and the wrong routes were called, and the progression of plays was wrong...and that all changed EXACTLY as I had suggested....inside routes, I formation, no huddle offense, etc. I suggested ALL of those before they were used and we finally saw the result....Solid offense.

You dont like me, thats one thing. But admit it, I know a hell of a lot more than you know now, or ever will......And twice as much as BrownFan80, who knows almost nothing at all. But, he does have a big mouth.
hahaha, one thing that you can always do is make me laugh brother nem. I may not always agree, but I always do laugh

ps maybe you should send your resume in with posts included to Mr. Kraft and BB

It has nothing to do with like or dislike. It has to do with you claiming to know more than those hired and paid hundreds of thousands or millions to coach and have ALL OF THE INFORMATION...not just what the networks decide to show.

I have played football since I was 10 and played competative football even as recently as 5 years ago when I was 35. I have not seen where you have even remotely demonstrated that you know more than me about football and the "progression" of plays which you routinely ignore in fact when you call your 20/20 hind sight plays.

Do I grouse about a call or two during the game? Yes, but I don't live in your fantasy world that I could be a better coach than the Pats have because of what I watch on a TV. You have continually complained about the coaching that has brought us 3 SB's and one of the best records over the last five years....I really don't care about you NEM, your digeneration of our coaching staff though is OLD. I can't wait until after this game and you start another 5 threads about playcalling and coaching weather we win or lose. When YOU grow up maybe you can enjoy life a little instead of wanting to hate everything and tell everyone how YOU can do better and that you are better than everyone else....
