could Maroney be a great thing for Dillon - New England Patriots Forums

I think the addition of Maroney has helped dillon immensely in that he has really embraced the physical runner role. Last year I thought when healthy he was often trying to brake long runs way too early and getting stuffed. In '04 when he really started to roll he was physical, wore the defense down and then busted longer runs. He looks great this year quick and powerful!

IMO, the 2 1/2 RB system is going to really reap benefits at the end of the year and in the playoffs. Dillon will be fresher and Maroney will be helped avoiding the rookie wall. And Faulk can just be himself, just hold onto the ball.
