Opinions, gentlemen? Detroit just released him.
God knows we've already got plenty of Ends who're good at Rushing and weak at Run Defense, but he intrigues me, just the same: This is a Special Teamer who finally broke in, last year, and finished the season with Sacks in
each of Detroit's last 3 games.
Unlike Warren and Burgess, for instance, he's a young guy who's flashed some potential, seems to have some momentum, and has virtually NO miles on'm!!
I would LOVE to get this guy.

Even better: how do we feel about him as a possible Jack OLB?
The Packers cut him one year ago, when they were transitioning to the 3-4, so that obviously doesn't bode well...
However, he IS a young guy, and at his 2006 Pro Day, he rang up a 34.5 Vertical Leap ~ not bad, and the same as our own Rob Ninkovich, that year ~ and a 4.23 Short Shuttle, which was VERY fast: 4th among DE's that year, behind only Chris Gocong, Matthias Kiwanuka...and Ninkovich.

Why in the name of GOD do I bring those stats up??
As an increasing number of us are becoming aware,
FootBall OutSiders has forged a Metric, which they call SackSeer, which suggests that Pass Rush success at the NFL level has SOME level of predictability, based on their historical study of 4 things:
1 ~ Vertical Leap
2 ~ Short Shuttle Time
3 ~ Sack Productivity
4 ~ Health

And both our Hunter ~ he's 6'4", 270, by the way ~ and our own Rob Ninkovich had solid Leap numbers and EXCEPTIONAL Short Shuttle numbers.
I would LOVE to bring this guy in.
