Default Clearing something up

On that forced fumble on the kick return late in the 3rd quarter, I had originally said it was Pierre Woods who made the hit. It looked to be him (#45) watching the game live. The play-by-play - at that time - also listed Woods as the hitman.

But looking over the play again this morning, it was actually Eric Alexander, who many also thought it was at the time of the play. The NFL.com play-by-play has also been changed, and now lists Eric Alexander as making the hit.

It was hard to see full speed, but it was 49 delivering the hit as Alexander is certainly trying to make the case that he belongs on this team.

So far that is the special teams play of the year...what a hit!!! Gay was quick in picking it up and scrambling to inside the 10..a bang-bang play!!! I think there may be some who make the team based on ST play...

Alexander is making a case to keep him as a future Special Teams' ace - I took a brief look at the currant roster and tried to figure some cutdowns for the defense and it is going to be a real challenge. Additional preseason injuries will help BB in his choices, but some good players will be turning in their playbooks.

The days are dwindling down to a precious few, for Izzo and maybe Davis...
