The Most Important Thing...
in tonight's game, other than no major injuries, was either:
1) the continued emergence of Tully Banta-Cain (and, by extension, the play of the LB corps in general).
2) the ability of the offense to move the ball consistently, despite no wide receivers of note. No Branch, no Jackson, no Troy (in 1st half).
These are, IMO, two significant things to take from tonight's game. If TBC can just become a legit starter at OLB - or, at least, a legit rotation guy there, for when Bruschi is back and Vrabel slides back outside - that will be a major improvement and infusion of youth at LB, where we are DESPERATE for said infusion of youth.
