Default Jerome Solomon is Going Back to Houston

Just saw it on Bostonsportsmedia.com's Scott's Shots.

http://www.bostonsportsmedia.com/shots/

I had an inkling something was up with Jerome. During his Boston.com chat this week he sounded a bit bored and distant. Was definitely sounding as if he had a foot out the door: My post was the 4th in the attached thread:

Jerome Solomon, just another negative nancy?

Could this mean that Riess will get the job as primary Patriots reporter?.

Will he have to turn into a complete jackoff to get that job?

More things to worry about.

I lost respect for Solomon when he started to shill for Branch's agent.

I thought Jerome was a competent if largely uninspired writer. My favorites would be Reiss, Michael Smith, Tom Curran, John Tomase (yes, Tomase), Michael Holley, Dan Pires and Felger (when he isn't trying to get radio ratings). Breer is also beginning to appear on my radar.

The worst would be a neck and neck tie between Wrong Bogus and Buddy Thomas.

Solomon? I'd put him in the Nick Cafardo category - - wanted to be writing about another team/sport and looks at the Patriots with disinterest.

Jerome seems like a very nice person and I hope he finds that spark in Houston.

Where does Borges hail from?? Maybe we could start a movement to get his hometown newspaper to hire him...

Oakland, that's where he started.

BTW,
disinterest means impartiality
uninterest means indifference

Solomon was competent and thorough. I'll admit he did seem to be a tiny bit overboard with the Branch thing but other than that I enjoyed his work. I would be quite pleased if this somehow meant the return of Holley, but I don't get the vibe he wants to be part of the print medium again on a daily basis.
