We just arent in a position to make this decision. There is too much we dont know. How ready is he? IS he the best player at the position already? He may win the job without consideration of developing more quickly, he might be so close the guy ahead of him its a nobrainer, and he might be so far away from ready, understanidng the D, learning the techniques that he would be a liability.
Just because of place he was drafted isnt the answer. Eveything else, that we just cant know, is.

That is the sad truth of our current situation. Nevertheless, you know what you were doing.

From everything I'm hearing, it appears that Cunningham is getting an extensive amount of time with the 1's.

Which is great news, because there is no doubt our best situation at OLB would be with Cunningham having a great camp, being fully ready to go, and desewrving to start week 1.

Not much to base it on but I thought Murrell looked decent at OLB today

It's not Reiss but the Herald's Ian Rappaport.

+1 re Cunningham, except that as a rookie he may not master certain packages he'd be expected to handle later in his career.

Heck, the package he gets inserted into last might be the generic one (as opposed to nickel, where his responsibilities might be simpler).

Semi-off-topic to this, but what does everyone think Murrell's chances at making the roster are? You don't hear much about him.
