nice job taking the humble statment from Jenkins about himself and turning it into the destruction of the Jets, you guys are the master of spin
i must admit, you are doing it well.

i agree with what Jenkins said, which he learned on his own flesh last year, football is a TEAM sport, any team can win without any player.

the Jets can win without Revis or Jenkins
the Pats can witn without Brady or Moss
the Colts can win without Manning or Freeny
the Ravens can win without Lewis or Ed Reed

and i can go on and on

Sure you can win without top talent, but how many games will you win?

doesnt matter

the team is bigger then one player,we are not talking about fleecing a team from the entire top talnet they got,we are talking about one player

i dont care who the player is and what position he play.

Nice case study in how not to operate a winning franchise going on down there...

Without Revis the Jets secondary is like ours in 2005.

Mike Lombardi said Ryan has been showing you exactly what NOT to do after going 9-7. His players are following suit.
Jenkins feelings are hurt because the team made it to 7-7 plus gift without him, and now Revis is being considered irreplacable.
This is nothing more than Jenkins trying to make it look like if he isnt a crucial player no one is.
Ironically 9 years after the Patriots won the SB with the embodiment of the team concept the Jets are trying to win with 53 mes.

But Revis cares. He wants to be paid like an indispensable part of the Jets. He wants to be paid like he is THE difference between the Jets winning the Super Bowl vs. not winning the Super Bowl.

Now a guy the Panthers ran out of town because his waist size and mouth were bigger than his production is comparing his relative contribution to the team to what Revis brings. So the Jets can win with or without Revis? Thanks pal! That will help my search for $20M a year!

I'm not disputing the point. I happen to agree that no one guy is bigger than the team. However, that is a comment you make after a key player goes down with a season-ending injury or leaves via free agency. It is not a comment you make about a guy in your locker room who is looking for elite money.

People were all confused about how Brady said a whole bunch o' nuthin about his contract situation. Brady knows he will get his money eventually, but he also knows that Mankins is looking to get his piece as well. Anything Brady says about his situation, positive or negative, could be played as a shot against Mankins.

So I don't have a problem with what Jenkins said. The problem is that he opened his yap at all. With the core of the team looking for huge money in the next year or so, I'm sure they would appreciate Jenkins just using his pie hole for inhaling pie(s).

fans like us(i guess sometimes i do it too) pay too much attention to what was said and by who.

i dont belive it is such a big issue for Revis or anyone else.
Revis is a professional player and an adult, what ever someone said about him will not change how he feels, what he wants or how he will get it.
if Revis cant handle what people say about him or about the team then he has other things to worry about, there are other situations with more pressure during football and life.

the media will allways try to make something out of nothing,if Revis has something inside his head then he must know that all the talk means nothing.

it doesnt matter what Jenkins said, doesnt matter what Lombardi said, its all talk.

the only thing that matters is what happen in the meeting room between Revis agent and Jets managment and none of us knows whats going on in there.
