It is new in the sense of the format of opting to purchase two pre-determined regular season games while having to purchase one pre-season game. In prior years waitlisted members have been offered the opportunity to purchase up to 4 tickets to any regular season game while also purchasing the same number of tickets to a pre-season game or purchasing "standing room only tickets" for a full or half-season.

Other sports have been using such advertising and ticketing methods for years.

You get a couple of good games and a ****ty game you really dont want to see.

Thanks for that. I didn't know wait-listed members had the opportunity to purchase up to 4 tickets to a regular season game in the past.

The economy is having a really big impact on pro sports.
