overall not bad, but broderick bunkley in the top 10??? might be a reach especially with ngata still there. interesting pick with the raiders taking young but they should go defense. i think holmes is a fine pick, but with deangelo williams, lendale white, youboty, etc still avaible, would they go with holmes????

Actually..It seems as though many teams have Bunkley rated higher than Ngata

The more I see how the Patriots are leaving cap space open the more it makes me think that they are finally going to take a skill player in round one. They will need all the cap space they can get in order to make a move like that.

Why would we ever take a WR with those three players available. Surely any of those three would have a bigger impact on the team.....

There is no WR worthy of a 1st round pick in this draft. Ther are quite a few decent WR to fill our needs in the 2nd - 5th rounds.

Mel Kiper is full of it.

When have the Patriots actually picked a guy we all predicted? How about never. They always surprise us so you gotta kinda of think outside the norm.

you get paid by where you get picked, not by your position.

WR in the first round? I don't see it happening, sure with this team anything is possible but the way our offense is set up to spread the ball around I doubt we spend our 1st pick on a receiver, especially with better players still available at RB at CB as in that mock. More likely we take a receiver in the 2nd or with one of our 3rd's.

If you are going to remain a contender, your first round pick MUST MUST MUST be a solid starter on your team - probably 1st year but for sure by 2nd year.

Are you SURE that ANY of these 4 fall into that category ? From everything I read, all are significant gambles.

Usually, it seems like there is always some surprise that falls thru to the Pats. But if you go thru the top projections this year on all of the mock drafts, you find it a little hard to find a sure fire starter that looks like a Patriots player EVEN if they drop. Do we see Belichick trading a 1st round pick for a lower 1st round or top 2nd round pick ?? Because, players he is interested in may very well be there at that point anyway.

Maybe if Tye Hill, CB, drops to the Pats at 21, he might be a possibility.

If Belichick goes against the pundit's ratings which have the following players lower on the board, he might consider Richard Marshall, CB. Or an interesting choice might be Manny Lawson who is too light for DE but has very good speed and good size for LB - he's kind of interesting. But my crystal ball has mostly question marks visible in the murky globe.
