"RB Pat Paschall (pronounced puh-SHAHL) had another tough day. He just can’t seem to hold onto the football when it’s thrown to him. Wish I’d seen that on his highlight tape, which I liked, but only showed running plays. He needs to improve in a hurry if he hopes to stick around Foxborough much longer."
what does it matter if he can catch it? Maroney has shown repeatedly that he CAN catch, and DO something with the ball afterwards too, and yet we barely throw it to him, so who cares if the rb can catch it or not? we only throw to one rb, and thats faulk....if the kid can run like a beast, his hands really shouldnt matter much, they wont be put to use

It's dumb of PFW to say he has to improve in a hurry or be cut. I sincerely doubt he'll be cut before training camp. Surely when he was scouted SOMEONE noticed that he was not used in the passing game and might take some work to get up to speed.
He came from a program where they did not throw him the ball. expecting him to suddenly be a featured receiver is a little much. He can work on the JUGGS machine all summer. By the end of training camp, he either will pick it up or he won't.

That’s what we always do, and I think the last nine years we’ve put a pretty competitive team out there on the field every year. I think that’s how you do it – you get good football players. Sometimes they are not always at the No. 1 position, but I don’t think you pass up good football players to get the guys who aren’t as good just because they’re at a position that somebody feels you need.”

I assume they mean if he wants to make the roster.

I doubt it that he will ONLY because of the numbers and the fact that they did not draft a running back...THAT is in his favor..BUT..iof he doesn't grasp some things, he will be gone..I AM SURE a few of the UDFAs will not make it to camp. I think about 65% of the UDFAs over the last few years make it to camp. So I would say his chances are quite GOOD!!
I thought Hernandez was your binky. Regardless though, I keep hearing different things on Price's blocking. The skinny on him after the draft (on the websites I visited to gain knowledge about the guys not from Florida that we selected) is that blocking was the one area that he needed to improve on. However, I have since been reading that his blocking is solid. This article said he is a "beast of a blocker".

Given the he played in an option running offense, my guess is you had to be able to block.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

Hernandez & Price/Anderson are my binkies, unless I am only allowed to have one.
If so, I would go with Price. I really am not aware of any blocking issues with Price- he has demonstrated toughness in that area- successfully blocking a DE and LB. What I like about Price is his toughness. I am just so sick and tired of seeing WR's go across the middle and developing alligator arms syndrome. Welker has been doing the lion's share of going into the trenches for us on that, and it's got to stop. He can't take that kind of abuse forever, and Price could be the one to take pressure off.
