Default A solid offense

Anything can happen, especially injuries. However, this group is ready to go, with few decisions to be made. We might attempt to upgrade Morris/Green-Ellis with a free agent.

OFFENSE (24)
QB (2) Brady, Hoyer
RB (4) Maroney, Taylor, Faulk, Morris/Green-Ellis
WR (6) Moss, Holt. Edelman, Tate, Price, Aiken/Slater
TE (3) Grankowski, Crumpler, Hernandez (also an h-back)
OL (9) Light, Mankins, Koppen, Neal, Vollmer,
Kaczur, Connolly/Bussey, Orhnberger, LeVoir

I can deal with this offense. We will definitely be pass heavy, but Brady has so many more options to get the ball too. I think that if we can survive the first six weeks ostensibly without Welker, this team will really hit its stride from 7 onward.

We still don't have a proven deep threat to pull coverage off Moss.

Holt isn't enough?

Until we see what chemistry he has with Brady, there is going to be a question mark next to his name. The same is true for Price and Anderson.

I understand Brady points to Holt when he speaks of route running, but until that happens, it's something that looks good on paper right now.

You can choose to discuss Holt, Price and Anderson as if they are on the same footing. It make no sense to me.

The reality is that the coaches, Brady, Moss and Holt will all jointly make sure that they are on the same page. That's their job, and they take it seriously. Brady, Moss and Holt are healthy HOFers and they have plenty of time. They'll get it right.

Christmas has come in April for Brady: Holt and now Grankowski, Hernandez, and Price.

I agree, our offensive personnel is much better this year around. The only thing I am concerned about at this point is Offensive Co-ordinator Bill O'brien. Our offense lacked creativity last season...

My description of O'brien's performance wouldn't be as kind as yours.

Tate looked like that guy in his brief play last year.

We don't have a proven WR, correct. I wouldn't characterize the need as a deep threat as Gaffney certainly wasn't and he eventually beat out the deep threat Stallworth. We do need another reliable WR, though, and we have no proven one. That said, with Holt, Patten, Tate and Price all competing for it and only one needed to fill that spot it seems highly unlikely this will be an issue by September.
