So, Evans, Brown and Neal are all re-signed, or will be by weekend.

We started with 17 free agents (not counting ERFA's who must stay) and 9 players with roster bonuses; that's 26 player decisions by the players and the patriots. Early in pre-season (this month), 24 of these decisions have been made, plus the patriots have picked up a free agent (Caldwell) from someone else. I think 25 decisions is a lot so early. I expect a bit more by month end.

And we have been, and are, in conversations and negotiations with various free agents. One has signed so far; more will come.

Doesn't look all that bad..but I think all that and a large cap is quite good!! AND a ton of draft picks to boot...it's only the end of the 1st quarter asell..not halftime even...

It does look like the Patriots should be in line for 4 comp picks next year unless they sign a ton of comp free agents themselves. But it doesn't look like that is going to be happening.
