Default 3 #1's next year?

Given the strength of this years draft, if the chance comes up to trade one of the #2's into next years draft for a #1...

would you?

No this years draft is much better than next years. i would trade Our #1 pick next year for a 2nd and 3rd this year. Oaklands #1 next year could be a top ten. Take Oaklands pick trade down and aquire more picks next year.

I would trade this year's #1 for next year's #1 and a #2 this year.

Who is on the board and which team is offering?

Absolutely not, we already have 2 1st rounders next year, one of them probably being a top 10 pick. Like you said this draft is very deep, a lot of the 2nd round picks are first round quality. Why would we want to give one of those up especially with as many needs we have on the team for the 2010 season

Agree with a combination above, it depends who it's with and what the total offer is. But, say Cleveland wanted Colt McCoy and offered one of their #3s this year and their #1 next year then I probably would do it as we'd still get a good prospect now and a shot at a high #1 next year. If it were Indy or N.O. then I would need a lot more back.

I side with this logic as well. This draft is ridiculously deep and the Pats needs are many.

I think it's more likely that, if the player we like isn't there at one of our 2nds (or we think we can get him with the next one), we'd trade it for a 2nd next year and a 3rd this year to get us back in the 3rd round.

That sounds about right to me, especially if the 3rd we'd get this year would result in moving down less than 20 slots.

I'd be very happy if BB just uses this year's first four picks on quality players who can immediately contribute.
