Is this the passing of the torch?

Is anyone surprised that it was Jonathan who played the lead role in forging the owner's coalition to accept the union's proposal.

Did Robert purposely leave for Israel so the spotlight will be on Jonathan?

Was the meeting Jonathan's coming out party?

I thought so.

It was interesting that the Jets and Patriots, at war since Bill Parcells escaped from New England in 1997, teamed up to save the league from itself.

"Woody is great," Jonathan Kraft said. "It was great to be able to work together on this."

No doubt that Jonathan Kraft is a capable heir. I don't think Bob Kraft would have left unless it was something important like a religious pilgrimage that had been planned long ago. Even if it was though, leaving at one of the most important meetings the Kraft's have had to attend as owners of the Patriots says quite a lot about the elder Kraft's confidence on his son's capabilities.
