Default It is Time To Circle The Wagons

We had the talent to project to 10-6 or 11-5 when the a season started. That some had us as Super Bowl favorites is beside the point entirely. It seems that we will end the season at 10-6 or 11-5 unless Belichick allows the wheels to come completely off. Sure, the team could have had more wins if different decisions had been made. That is likely true for almost every team except the colts, the saints and the vikings.

We are where we expected to be at this point, or rather we are where we hsould ahve expected us to be at this point. I dare say that if we look backl there are those who predicted that we would lose the exact games that we have lost.
=====================================

CIRCLING THE WAGONS
Brady and Moss and dante need to get all the players on one page and succeed in spite of O'Brian. The talent is there. Something clearly needs to be done with regard to managing the second half and red zone. And, yes, dante needs to figure out who his best 5 are and devise schemes for them. Personally, I think that if we SHORTEN the field, all these games will be much easier. Brady can make a living with intermediate passes. Sure Moss and Welker should be our stars. They will be even if their catches are made over the middle in the 6-16 yard range. And yes, I'd like to see eight players with catches.

Belichick needs to work with the defense. He can't do everything. Wilfork, Warren, Banta-Cain, Mayo, Bodden, McGowan and Meriweather are a pretty decent core. Perhaps it is Belichick that needs to get in there and lead. This defense is more than good enough to shut down the next three teams we face. Belichick knows how to write the game plans to win with defenses with many more problems than this one. He has made his example. It is time to move on. It is time for Seau to play some in the middle against Carolina. He won't be much use in the playoffs unless he has some game time.

the question is if we stay in this 4-3 that has gotten in this minimal pressure spell or do we move to the 3-4 and allow woods to rush the passer with tbc? the problem is that right end is pretty weak and woudl get gouged for rushing yards

An arrogant, egomaniacal, incompetent George A. Custer circled the wagons once, and it was the last order he ever gave.

The time for William S. Belichick to wagon-circle has long passed. It's now time for Bob Kraft to start firing people.

They had the talent to be better than that, especially before they traded Seymour away.

While we will probably never know all the details, have to wonder if Seymour had the same disease as AD has... it is all speculation, but not a lot more makes sense.

Thumbs up Re: It is Time To Circle The Wagons

Call me an idiot or alcoholic, but I will be crushed if this team doesn't win the Super Bowl. Anything can happen in the playoffs and I fully expect this team to go up another notch or two. As bad as some of this season has been at points, I really believe these Patriots can win.

Go Pats!

I think, if I remember correctly, that this franchise started having success when the owners became "hand's off"... and that's the way I'd prefer it.

I hear Matt Millen is available for our GM. And Eric Mangini may be available in the offseason to coach the team.
