Priceless; he used the quote from Herb Brooks (coach of the US Olympic hockey team in 1980) and from the movie miracle:

Quote:
The name on the front of the jersey, is more important than the name on the back!

Listening to this, he must be smarter than he sounds.

They have a small Jets logo on the left breast.

I was uncomfortable watching Eric, he looked like a deer in the headlights! His prepared statement was like a bad interview, I was just waiting for that infamous line "and I like working with people"!! I'm sure he'll warm up as he gets more time in the kitchen! By the way, he did answer one reporters question (couldn't hear what was asked) with the statement "I called ALL of the plays this year".
Good luck Eric.

Default Well back to the PC

Mangini looked really uncomfortable during the PC---and he did a poor job reading his statement that looked to be written on the back of a coctail napkin.

I wish him the best, but it seems like he needed another year or two before he takes a HC job!

NYC seems like a tough media market for a young first-time coach to learn the ropes. I think Mangini would have been better off taking a job in a small market where the fans and the media WANT to like him, not a market where they will enjoy ripping him to shreds.
