Don't make any excuses - The Patriots owned them for 3.5 quarters and then layed an egg in the last 8 minutes.
More like one quarter the second 17-7. 1st quarter 7-7, 3rd quarter 0-0 and the 4th was obviously Colts.

Oh yeah, that 3rd quarter seemed dead even, with a 150+ to 50 yards from scrimmage differential.
The clock ran out on the 3rd quarter only one play before a Patriots TD pass, and Maroney's fumble helped you out too. The entire 3rd quarter was dominated by the Patriots and their one sucessful TD drive was capped off a few seconds late to be counted in the 3rd quarter tally.
The Patriots for the game dominated in running offense, passing offense, running defense, passing defense, time of posession, punt return team, kickoff return team...need I go on?
You got lucky to win at home. You don't want a rematch in January because YOU know, the Colts know, and the Patriots know that they can hang 50+ on that sorry Colts defense if they don't screw up and make unforced errors.
Wayne didn't push off illegally (this thread is stupid). I'm even OK on the PI call. I can even live with the awful spot because of all of our other mistakes.
No excuses, you won. Just don't act like it was some sort of evenly-fought battle throughout. We let off the gas, lost some key defenders during the game, and what could have been a 51-28 rout became a 35-34 loss.
I can deal with that reality. I'm just hoping for the payback in January, a re-match that I'm sure to a man the Colts want NOTHING to do with.

It's pretty clear I am a Colts Fan, but I have tried not to bash your fans or team.QUOTE]
"Oh how the table has tuned. the Patriots* always said Belichick was in Peyton's head. After the bone head call 4th and 2 on the 28 up by six 2 minutes.....looks like Peyton is in Belichicks head now. Old Belichick KNOWS who is the greatest qb of all time. With the tables turned and NO video cameras..........just sayin'"
Time to move on and focus on the Jets, time for the Colts fans to go back to wherever it is they came from and focus on Baltimore.
For the last time, the PI call on Butler was wrong as he was facing the ball and making a play on the ball, it is said too many times that PI is called because the defensive player isn't turned facing the ball, he was in this case and therefore, it means no PI. Called was only made because the game was in Indy and that brings up the question, why are the Pats always forced to play in Indy? Is Peyton Manning scared to come to Foxboro and play outside?
And no matter what you say, it was 1st down, the official made a bad call, his ego got in the way and he wouldn't discuss it.
And moaning about the push off is just stretching it, there was nothing there that could be called, if anything, our player should of just bearhugged Wayne and made sure he had no chance of catching the ball, atleast that way they don't score.
Time to move on and focus on the Jets now, it always good beating them but their not running their mouths as much as earlier in the season.

If the roles were reversed...you would say the only stat that matters is the score. So "NO" only one quarter score wise. I mean isn't that what it is all about, the greater score?

Some of these Pat fans are hilarious with the whole "The Colts are scared of a rematch" thing they've got going
If anything the Colts have more confidence knowing that the Patriots did almost everything they wanted to against them, the Colts played nowhere near their best game on both sides of the ball (except when it counted )

And they still lost.
Yeah, the Pats were perfect. I expect then to have two turnovers in the endzone nearly every week.

Perfect? It didn't say perfect. But over all the Pats did just about everything they wanted. Both teams were banged up, the Colts more so on defense. Some are out for the year, but the young guys will only get better as the season goes on.

More confidence? You guys are 7-8 in the postseason. We are 14-3.

I dunno how you can't feel fortunate on that PI penalty and the iffy spot on 4th and 2.
