Default Can I say it now? Vollmer is our new LT!

Seriously this kid has looked very strong in his first few starts for us. I feel safer that a freak like Vollmer is guarding Brady's blind side. Light was good but he did not manhandle passrushers the way that Vollmer does. Those quick feet and long arms are just really hard to get around. And did you see the way Vollmer dominated the defender on the Welker TD in the Bucs game? He was simply overpowering!

I think Vollmer will stay at LT, even once Light gets healthy. Am I wrong? Do I need my eyes checked? Flame away.

Yes you are and yes an optometrist should be consulted.

Can you honestly say that Light has better physical tools than Vollmer? I don't think it's a coincidence that the Pats have had their biggest offensive outbursts of the season with Vollmer starting at LT.

Gonna disagree. Vollmer has looked good...well, he did until he got hurt yesterday, and then got pretty badly abused.

The way he got abused yesterday (two blatant holding calls because he lost the guy he was blocking), I would still be using pencil when putting him as the starting LT in your depth chart. Vollmer shows promise, but has not shown he deserves to keep the starting job when Light returns.

"Few?" The kid has started against two of the weakest teams of this season, he looks good and I'm pulling for him, but let's see a little more before he steals Light's job.

You mean playing the Bucs and Titans who are combined 0-13 has nothing to do with it?

Vollmer needs to watch those offside penalties - 2 10 yarders within a few plays could kill the team down the road.- Otherwise Vollmer looks good but he is not in Light's league yet.

If anything I would mix him in with Kaczur who has been having some problems with his man lately, nothing major but more noticable lately.

I don't think its a coincidence that the Pats have had their biggest offensive outbursts against two teams that haven't won a game yet.

In both cases the opposition was so poor that it's hard to say.
very little can be drawn from the last 2 games except that Titans and Bucs will struggle to win 3 games between them all season.
