Default As Horrendously Pitiful as the Jets Looked . . .

It is worth remembering that they were pretty good last week at Miami :

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/score.../NFL144712.htm

Bollinger : 28-42-327, 2 TD, 0 INT
C. Houston : 15-84-5.6.

Jets gained 388 yards to Miami's 297.

Compared to last night.

Bollinger : 11-19-100, 1 TD, 1 INT
C Houston : 5-14-2.8.

Patriots gained 321 yards to NYJ's 171.

We all know the Patriots could have spanked them a lot worse but even taking the numbers for what they are, it is important to remember that while we have been playing mostly (excluding TB) bad teams recently, those same bad teams tend to do a lot better against other teams. While Miami isn't great, they don't suck either so NYJ outgaining them shows that they played competitively last week.

The JEST need to get their OL in order. I think that they can get a decent QB and be a good team if they get their OL fixed.

All they talk about is getting Reggie Bush but Bush won't be doing much behind that OL.

They complain about injuries to the OL. The fact is that those guys weren't playing that well when they were in.

I do't know if it's the players or the coaching.

Default Reggiebowl

I was at the game last night, and after each turnover, the Meadowlands crowd could be heard chanting "Reggie, Reggie".

Good post. Agreed, people tend to gloss over wins where the Pats have dominated lesser opponents. You bring up a good case as to what NYJ did just last week to MIA, in Miami.

What about the Bills? The same team that NE absolutely embarrassed in Buffalo marched into Cincy and beat the Bengals. The same Bengals who are playoff bound and in the #3/4 seed range as the Pats.
