Thanks, Chris. Good points all.

Could you add: do the Patriots ever use two backs on the field at the same time, or is it always a tight end or lineman doing "fullback" duty? And, if so, who is it?

Or how many reps does Thomas take at FB/HB?

Five things I want to watch for tonight:

1) How does Brady handle a live rush?

2) DB coverage (esp. CB/SS in nickel and dime subs)

3) 3rd down pass rushing

4) more use of the 4-3 with burgess/wilfork/brace/seymour as DL, as primary pass-rushing sub package

5) First live NFL experiences for rookies.. how do they handle it? (e.g., Edelman, Chung, Nunn, etc).

Sorry, I mean this in the context of watching new players/bubble players because obviously the packages in preseason wouldn't be complicated/too revealing of the playbook for regular season.

Good list Chris.

A few others to consider: Patrick Chung; the special teams - specifically gunners - as there appears to be some roster spots to be determined based on special teams play; the play of Tank Williams vs. Brandon McGowan; and who is able to get some pressure on the Philly QB on passing downs.

All great points--will keep an eye out.

We'll have updates all night long on the Twitter feed at twitter.com/weeigameday and on the front page at WEEI.com
