"offensive lineman Wes Welker,"

Do you know something we don't know, Chris?

No knee brace for TB. Interesting. I had read that the brace is pretty much required for all physical activity for the 1st 12 months after any ACL surgery.

Not sure what to read into it. Maybe he simply forgot it?

Damn--in the rush to get my blog entry posted ASAP, sometimes your fingers get away from you. I assure you--Welker can do a lot of different things. He is most certainly NOT an offensive lineman. Excuse me while I go run a penalty lap......

As long as Belichick isn't throwing things at Brady, I'm good. LOL

The knee brace is not a requirement. It is a precaution and something the trainer has convinced him to wear for protection against hits. Wearing it in camp is more to get used to it. Manning has worn one for years just out of general concern.

Damn. I read one thing and found conflicting info. I agree, at any rate the brace can't hurt. Unless he is sacked by Ron Brace.

Braces and ACL Tears - Should I Wear A Knee Brace After ACL Surgery?

No study has clearly shown that post-operative knee braces protect the healing graft after an ACL reconstruction. In multiple studies, patients who have had ACL reconstruction surgery were given a knee brace and compared to patients who did not wear a knee brace. None of these studies were able to demonstrate any significant difference between these groups of patients.
