Ian's Daily Blog - Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe reported this morning that the two sides haven't made any progress, and it appears that things may be taking a turn for the worst.

I am not surprised. Nor will I be surprised if Vince isn't in our camp next season. Prediction : he gets franchised and either traded or plays under the tag. Interesting to see what'll happen. Either way - just win this year.

Predictions: Seymour gets franchised and Wilfork is let go. Brace starts next year.

As long as he doesn't hold out, I really don't care. Guys playing for contracts are good things. Best case (short of a new contract) is Seymour re-signing, Vince Franchised and traded or plays under the tag. It's all good as long as he plays without being promised no franchise tag.

Totally agree. Let's get Sey & Vince on a roll and let the cards fall where they may. If they play lights out and leave BB's price range - still means we got lotsa, lotsa production. Fight, fight, fight !!!

The difference between the team and the player in many of
these disputes is that the player wants the last year of his
rookie contract torn up. The team wants the new contract
added as an extension.

I said that Vince wasn't worth 8M per year or whatever he wants and was told that it was the most ignorant post ever.

Just shows how jerkish some of the homers can be.
