Default Anquan Boldin

With Boldin firing his agent (apparently because he hasn't gotten him a new deal or traded him yet) just want to know what you guys think about Q. I personally would like us to trade for Anquan Boldin. I think right now we have decent depth at Wide out but Anquan Boldin would be the perfect complement for Moss and would probably become our number one in the future(Moss only has two years left on his contract). We could have the greatest show on turf with Moss, Boldin, Welker, Galloway and Lewis. Assuming that we have the starting Outside LB already on the roster, we have no real holes on this team. We have an abundance of TE's and RB's plus three second rounders next year. Why not unload a second and Watson for Boldin?

The good news is that Boldin does not want 10 million dollars per year.

The bad news is that he expects 9.9 million dollars per year.

Boldin wants to be paid closer to Fitzgerald's contract. There is NO WAY that we could afford him given his salary demands. I also think that BB would never invest that much $$$ into the WR position, isn't Moss getting 9 mil the next two years?

Or are you suggesting that we give up a 2nd and Watson for a one-year rental with the possibility of an uncapped year looming, which would render my above point moot?

Why on earth would you want to trade for a player who's behaved the way Boldin has just for money?

Agreed....AND I do not think he's needed...other places need improvement a LOT more than at wideout

I would also like Adrian Peterson at RB and Peyton Manning to back up Brady. And Ashomunga at CB.

I am expecting an uncapped year as well but I also think that we need to get Moss a new contract as well depending on what he does this year because we arent that set for the future at Wide out and I think we could get younger. Tate could turn out to be a possible number one but time will tell. If you really think about it our offense is getting kind of old. Welker, Mankins, Watson...Those are the only players that are projected to start for us this season that are under the age of thirty. We do have good young Depth at the RB position in BJGE and Maroney and on the O-Line with the additions of our rookies our O-line should be OK for the future but Wide out is a question mark IMO. With all of the FA's this coming off of the books this year I think we should have enough money to resign at least two of our D-Linemen and still have money for additional FA's on the market.

Let's just trade for Fitzgerald instead. And then we can trade Carolina for Peppers, Steve Smith, and DeAngelo Williams.
