people are bashing this thread, but its sertain that if it did happen (not saying it will) everyone would claim that the saw it from day one and new what an awsome idea it would be.

We've already had the greatest offense of all-time and all of the key parts of that very offense are returning.

In my opinion nothing is going to happen until after Boldin hires a new agent. And even then it will be quite a while because the Cardinals and the new agent are first going to sit down and attempt a negotiate a contract extension. If Boldin is traded by Arizona, it is not going to happen anytime soon.

Quick question...How did that team do in the Superbowl? Don't every be content! When you become content, you become average. Yes we have bigger holes but we didn't draft an OLB and just signed and ILB. We have fair depth at RB, TE, and on the Oline. Why not try to add a disgruntled player who wants out of his current situation. Same goes for Ocho Cinco but he is a little older. I am just saying that we have little depth at Wide out IMO but at this point we are relying on a 37 YO wide out to hold down the number three spot, what happens if he goes down? Greg Lewis? Who's the number 4 Wide out? We run a spread, you can never have too many wide outs.

With the exception of 2 players - Both of whom are O.K. but not exactly all-pros (Merriweather and J. Sanders) - The entire secondary is NEW to this team and has never played a down as a cohesive unit.

The LB corps is relying inside on a 1 year player who had a fantastic rookie campaign but still very young with room to improve and we may actually have to resort to starting a former drafted 7th round player like Banta Cain who we cut years ago or go with an unproven 'might as well be a rookie' Crable and here we are talking about adding a high priced cap busting player to an offense that may already could end up as the best in the league?

Give me a freaking break!!

1.) You're using the "Super Bowl" argument while talking about going after a receiver? Did you not watch the Super Bowl? This would be an argument for why receiver doesn't matter.

2.) He's been an ass, in the locker room, in the media and on the sidelines.

3.) His complaint is about money, and this is AFTER he got a contract extension.

4.) You obviously CAN have too many wideouts, given the restrictions of both the roster size and the salary cap. That's part of the reason he's not getting along with the Cardinals, after all. They seem to feel that two receivers making almost $9 million per season is not great value.

What could you do about that at this point in time? NOTHING! BB traded away Vrabel because he probably felt we needed to get younger! BB obviously wanted to get younger by drafting Butler and Chung and he felt we needed to get bigger by adding Springs. Bodden played very well in Cleavland under Romeo. He probably trust Crable, TBC and Woods at this point.and he obviously didnt think that any of the players in this draft were better than any of the players he had on his roster. He passed on board binkies, Barwin, Maualuga and Brown. Our Defense is probably set for the most part at this time. Forgive me for thinking that adding a Pro-Bowl Wide out that was/is on the trading block for a second which we have three of and a player that is in the last year of his contract in which he has underachieved. People forget that next year could be an uncapped year and that every free agent we have will not be resigned. Boldin will not bust the cap this year and will help the team this year!

This would never happen, it wouldn't be a good value pickup at all. For one thing, why would you want to pay someone almost 10 million per yr when his job is going to be keeping Moss and Welker from catching more balls? You can only have so many weapons before they start taking away from each other.

How many balls would you expect him to catch? 40-50? The 3rd and 4th positions will do that at a total cost of what? Less than 1.5 million for both? Welker is already averaging 100 a year, and Moss isn't too far behind. You don't need top quality players at every WR position (X,Y,etc) as we've proved before in 3 SB's--but even more in 06 when we lost the AFCCG with Reche Caldwell, etc.

Bottom line is that if we had money like that to spend, it surely wouldn't be at the WR position. We couldn't afford a WR with half of that cap hit, let alone another 9-10 million dollar wideout.

The whole entire reason we have been so good is pretty much because of proper cap mgmt, and good player value. You cannot be stacked at every position. I also expect a lot more 2 TE sets, and a strong focus on running the ball and clock mgmt, FWIW--so it'd be a total waste anyway.

If I had to guess, I'd say you play a lot of Madden and fantasy football

I appreciate everyone's opinion, so I say this with all respect. How wouldn't bringing in Boldin bust the cap this year? I thought we just figured out after signing rookies, etc that we'll have a little less than 3 million?

And why do you keep assuming that ARZ would part with such a weapon under contract for a 2nd rounder? (the same asking price for OAK's Burgess)

Adding Ben Watson wouldn't really peak their interest either IMO, plus it'd hurt a position where we're set (TE)
