Default The offense could be better than 2007

In 2007, the patriots had one of the best offenses in the history of the NFL. Once Brady is up to 100%, we could have an even better offense this year.

QB the same
RB We've added a HOF running back; Evans needs to be replaced.
WR I think that we need to add one, but some think that Lewis can carry the load.
TE We've added a top blocking TE.
OL The OL that set the records has been kept intact.

The defense had an easy job when the offense was putting up 30-40 points a game. No?

I'm not so sure. Brady and Moss are older, Gaff and Stallworth and their contributions are gone, TFB is coming off some injury that I read about, but most of all I think the surprise factor that allowed the Pats to blow out so many teams early 2007 will not be there.

I'm expecting a great O in 2009, just not 2007 great. And I'm fine with that.

I would be happy we are at 95% of what the offense did in 2007 and the defense is able to step up and make THAT crucial play if the offense fails in 2009.

You want a better Offense than 2007 than maybe we should get a wide out at 23 or 34....Heyward-Bey perhaps

not with moss older and brady coming off injury with no stallworth.

20-30 ppg. trouble with tough defenses.

this team needs a good defense because the O is going to be nothing at all like 07. let's get real here.

and the defense. Personally, i think the upgraded D (yes im including what i hope will be another good draft on D) is what will help make this years offense great. Its about all 3 phases, and like Box pointed out, special teams needs to improve. Though, i think BB is already trying to improve the ST's....Lets not forget, we still have Ventrone. The guy can play every position

Here's my prediction for the Pats this year...

5-1 in the AFCE

3-1 in the AFCS

1-1 against Baltimore/Denver

3-1 against NFCS

12-4

Unlike some of the fans here, I would be very happy with 12-4.
