Galloway still has something left in the tank, and he would represent the best value out of those 7. If he wants to sign a small 2 year contract, he would be better in that role than Stallworth was.
Hakeen Nicks
Darius Heywood-Bey
Juaquin Iglesias
Kenny Britt
Brian Robiske
Mike Thomas (you can never have too any Thomases on the team)
Kenny McKinley
Brandon Gibson
Mike Wallace (no, the other one)
Quan Cosby
Brooks Foster (he must hate his parents)
Jeremy Childs
D.J. Bolden
Jason Cherry
Dobson Collins
Dominick Goodman
Chris Williams
Vinny Perretta
Dudley Guice

Galloway has good hands and great speed, but below average blocking skills. Harrison has lost a step or two; I'm not convinced his knees are okay. Plus, he refused to take a pay cut with the Colts, which leads me to believe he either wants to make more than a #3 WR is worth to the Pats, or won't play at all. Holt would be intriguing but I'd rather wait till he's cut. Owens should not even be a consideration.
The problem with the receivers listed here is that I believe they are all looking for more money than what the Pats want to pay a #3 WR - probably in the vicinity of Gaffney's $1.2 million cap number last year. I could be wrong, that's just my opinion. Therefore a more realistic #3 WR is going to be someone like Furrey, Shaun McDonald, Amani Toomer, Ike Hilliard, Justin McCareins, Marty Booker, Drew Bennett, etc.

Brandon Lloyd - good complementary receiver, productive enough to demand coverage, should be a good blocker
DJ Hackett - terrific hands, one drop past two years, gets open, but low productivity
Justin McCareins - good deep threat, can help open the middle for Welker and tight ends
These guys are sort of comparable to Gaffney, but should be cheaper.
The Pats need a possession type, good hands, as a third option.
If Galloway is cheap, I would consider him in here with those three.

And no interest in Harrison, assuming he wants anything more than veteran minimum, which seems unlikely given his refusal to renegotiate with Indy. I just can't see him accepting the role of third guy well, and he has really lost a lot of his ability. The gun charge doesn't excite me. Terrific hands if he comes cheap and would play the third-option possession guy.
Same with TO. The drops concern me, but his constant criticism of the play-calling is really a problem. Especially with a young QB/receiver coaching staff, you don't need that. Even if signed to a one-year, no-bonus deal, he takes a slot that would have to be replaced if he acted up. There's no crying in baseball, and there shouldn't be any in football.

There are a bunch of guys on this list I'd love to have. And I'd like to draft 2 wideouts from this draft. But I still think we need a vet for that #3 spot now that Jab is gone. The guys who contribute over nite, ie Branch, are rare.
