Thumbs up Possible WR3's to replace Gaff for reasonable $$

In no particular order...

-Devery Henderson 5'11 200lbs - Still only 26 years old, deep threat speed with experience playing split end in a pass happy offense with the Saints.

- D.J Hackett 6'2 210lbs - 27 years old with a ton of talent. Injury concerns could be an issue, but if he can prove healthy, he might make for a nice pick up with tremendous upside.

- Armani Toomer 6'3 203 - No spring chicken @ 35, but still produced at a fairly high level for NY over the last two seasons. Reliable target, good hands, and could still have enough gas in the tank to put up quality WR3 #'s. may be able to sign him at the vet minimum.

- Ronald Curry 6'2 210lbs - Still relatively young @ 29, but like Hackett, injury history needs to be considered. None the less, Curry is talented and posted back to back 700yrd seasons in '06 & '07 for some woeful Raider teams.

- Mike Furrey 6'0 195lbs - 1000yrd campaign for the Kittens in '06. Versatile enough to step in a play emergency DB if called on, and like WWW, the guy has sure hands and can be a reception machine.

Out of those, I'd say Henderson or we draft a No. 3. I'd have to think the No. 3 should be a pretty fast guy since we have the tall receiver and slot receiver.

Coles is looking to be stuck with Buffalo or no-one. Heck, Houshmazoo is having trouble getting paid.

Coles would be a good move if it's affordable.

I even like the idea of Galloway as a burner. He's still fast and rested up. nd he plans to keep playing. He's the Seau of WR's when it comes to longevity.

Money wouldnt be reasonable. He turned down $6m from the Jets because he thinks that he is worth more.

Henderson is one of the most woeful underachievers in the game. He's a (far) less productive Donte Stallworth clone. Don't want him.

Hackett and Curry are possibilities (with question marks; I definitely like Curry better than Hackett), and Toomer is intriguing, even if he's probably out of gas. Furrey is probably better suited to backing up Welker/being the #4 WR, but he's definitely a guy I could see the team bringing in.

I suspect the Patriots will draft someone. In terms of veterans, Coles would still be my personal preference, though he may cost too much.

Of that group I'd lean toward Henderson. I'd hate to draft a WR early. Its just so hard to judge ( Bethel Johnson/ Chad Jackson both high 2nd rounders ). I believe WR is the toughest position to evaluate in the draft.

He's on the block for low picks already.
