After the influx of creative posting immediately after games, I've decided to give a little direction to those lacking the intestinal fortitude to suck it up.
1. Think before you post something.
2. Think for atleast 1 minute before you press reply.
3. Realise you make more of an arse of yourself for future commentary when you post irrational comments.
4. Don't bring your personal baggage and personal recommendations to the table. The front office is more than aware of what needs to be done.
5. Don't ever blame the loss on one player. The team is a sum of all parts.
6. SUPPORT THE PATRIOTS THROUGH THICK AND THIN. The amount of dribble some people write makes me think they aren't even supporters, just bandwagoners. If a loss pains you that much and you dislike the players that much, go support the Jets.
And finally
7. For every loss there have been 2-3 wins over a long period of time. The Patriots have given us sustained success since 2001. Sport is cyclical, that is the nature of the beast. Be thankful of the past and embrace the humps when they happen. Anything less and you're simply a Chargers fan.
Go Pats.

im just disappointed that the team didn't show much heart today..we looked like a bunch of kids playing vs. the varsity team hopefully they bring their A game in the up & coming weeks.

While I agree with everything you said, it seems like no matter how much we win, every time we lose there will always be the fans that can't handle it. There is always a large number of fair weather fans that will always come along with any sport and it is just a fact of life other fans need to get used to. People selling off their season tickets when Brady got hurt, counting down until next season etc. It sucks, and it is annoying, but as long as there are fans and sports, it will never change.

Nothing wrong with that at all jcrack.
Sure I'm pissed about the turnovers and very average 2nd half, but it happens. I'm not going to go out and say the Patriots organisation needs an overhaul, our defense is useless, player X should never play again or your opinion is stupid so you're stupid.

I rarely quote entire posts but yours deserves it.
The in game thread Cassandras are one thing but why pollute the Forum via thread craping because you're pissed the Pats lost? Sure today several players played horribly. Cassel had a poor game, Matt Light, Moss, Slater, the DBs, the Offensive Coordinator, whomever. Discussions of poor plays are fine, but subsume them in a generic thread vs the rush to post your name up there in lights in some inane thread to fullfill some agenda.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH

Amen. The reactions on the board after a win (trade brady) and a loss(bench cassel, lose all games for a better draft pick..) is so hyperbole everytime.

Very well said.
I hope that people will follow these guidelines.....but I also hoped that we would win today....so gotta take what we can get here.
8. Friggin READ the other threads before you make another one saying the same exact thing. We don't need 5+ "That was terrible" "How disappointing" "Season's over", etc. threads in addition to the game thread where there's enough panic.
