Default Matt Cassel and the inside rush

I have debated posting this for a few days because it may be premature of a thought to post. Cassell has had 2 good games because he has been able to step up in the pocket. He had bad days when they took away the step up ... Brady struggled a bit with that also.

So ... did the spead shotgun offense solve the inside rush issue or have the last 2 teams just went away from it? Is it because the line is back in form? If Cassell has a good game or 2 with teams taking away the step up then I'll jump on the bandwagon ... until then ... I feel it safer to say Matt is a bit above average of a QB ... for now with the ability to improve furthur.

Brady had a great game against the Steelers last year.

Well, it isn't just Brady and Cassel. Every QB has trouble throwing the ball if they can't step into the throw. That's why collapsing the pocket up the middle is so devastating.

I thought Cassell played for the Celtics. . . .

If you rush the middle it should leave the middle of the field open for TE or WR slants. But I guess you could always bring a safety up closer to the line, but usually you want the LB matched up with a TE rather than a saftey matched up with a TE. Cassel is pretty mobile so he can always do a boot leg and roll out to the left or right. Iam guessing they will probally have their DE in a pass contain mode which will not allow Cassel to do roll outs or escape the pocket.
