You're telling me having Ty Law back in 2001 didn't make a significant difference? Did you see the Super Bowl?

1) The D isn't aging. This is MEDIA BS and you've clearly bought into it. Yes, Vrabel, Bruschi, Thomas, and Harrison are all over 30, but look at the rest.
2) The Pats aren't using many different schemes right now because of the amount of playing time they are having to give Mayo, Guyton and Woods.
3) You do realize that Ty Law is only about an inch taller than the CBs we have right now, yes?

Where did you read that BB wasn't successful as a secondary coach?

He read it in his "how to play madden football" manual

This thread really belongs over in the Draft room. Where there is at least one other thread on the Needs for the Pats.

I don't agree with you that CB is THE top need. I also can't agree with you about the safety position as Sanders is a UFA after this season. Also, you need more than 2 quality ILBs to effectively run the 3-4.

The Pats will likely look at a player who can play RG or RT. They will probably draft a corner. Definitely draft a TE who can block. Probably a DE in the Seymour mold. They should pick up a safety unless they find one in free agency.

I am not sure they will pick an OLB. As I stated in another thread, Woods is an RFA. Vrabel is signed through 2009. Thomas is signed as well. Crable is a young player who the Pats have very high hopes for in terms of rushing the Passer. The only way I can see them drafting an OLB is if they don't bring back Woods or Vrabel.

Harrison is basically retired now. Bruschi needs to retire. Vrabel will be done within the next 2 years. Adalius should have some decent time left. Seymour is pushing 30. Hobbs plays like he's 50.

If the CBs we have now could actually play like Ty Law circa 2001 then they'd be fine with me

Hobbs doesn't play like he's 50. But I guess since you can't keep your stories straight, you have to make things up. As for Seymour, so what that he's pushing 30. What does that have to do with anything. The fact is that the defense as a whole, is younger than it was last year.

No it wouldn't be fine with you. You'd just find something else to b!tch about. You also seem to forget that the rules regarding DBs has changed since 2001. But, I guess, as a troll, you want to ignore that.
