Nice article with lots of data (as at end of the seventh game) on the Boston Globe today, + apt pictures

The sacks # in the last table is just eye-popping (After seven games, MC has 28 vs. Brady's 13).

Brady ended up with 41 though in just 14 games so his actually increased as his season progressed. Hopefully Matt's will trend in the other direction. Really only had 2 yesterday and both were on the line...

Go to page 10 for the side-by-side comparison. Up to then it's annoying individual stats. I hate articles like that. Put everything on one page.

How much is the increased sacs of Cassel vs Brady the fault of Cassel versus offensive line? Probably both.

Brady has always made the line look better. Cassel hasn't yet. So in short, its the line's fault that Cassel was getting sacked and it was somewhat Brady's doing that he avoided a lot of sacks. Scouts Inc had that nice article about how Brady was getting hit frequently, but sacked infrequently, a tribute to his work in the pocket.

I'd say it's at least 60/40 OL to date. Last two weeks more like 80/20. Cut those in half the rest of the way and he'll be spot on the mark.
