Default The second best fan

As my first new thread:

I have been a fan since the early 90's, and have been reading the messageboard here for a few years. I have only started posting recently and I lived and died with the last superbowl as have many Pats fans.

The funny thing about this year for me so far is that all of my teams have finished second best. I live in Denver, but I am from Los Angeles - so two of my favorite teams are the Lakers and Dodgers. I started following the Penguins after the mid-90's trade of my favorite player, Tomas Sandstrom, from the Kings to the Penguins. Due to no interest in the 2 LA football franchises (apparently a lot of football fans felt the same way), I started following the Patriots before the Bledsoe draft.

The slightly interesting side to my post is that all of my teams have been runners up in their respective sports this year (except the Dodgers, so far). What is insane, is that after the Superbowl, I felt relief for the Boston faithful after the Celtics' win (if I could have it my way, those two teams would play for the Championship every year).

So an official HELLO to the board, may my Dodgers meet your Sox in the Series, and most of all... GO PATS!

Good to have you aboard! But hopefully the Pats won't be a runner up
