Best advice is get there early. The gates open at 9am. That is right about the time we always get there. That way you can relax and enjoy the experience. Have fun.

You should have a great time. Definitely get there early and get a good parking spot. There is much more to do now around Gillette and should be a fun time for you and your wife. I'm sure there are plenty of people in here who are season ticket holders who can also give you some good advice.

Tailgating is half of the experience. I agree....get there at around 9AM if you can. Expect a lot of traffic. Bring a portable grill and propane, food (steaks, chicken, burgers, etc.) and adult beverages, some camping chairs, a small table if you have one, and something to keep yourself entertained for a few house such as a football to toss around. Plan on tailgating after the game too since the traffic sucks even more then.

We are staying in Foxboro. Is it a good idea to take a cab? Will we be able to get one at game time? Or is it a better idea to take the rental car and park it?

Depending on what you want for your experience, if you want to get out quickly after the game, park a little further away from the stadium. We always park on one of the private lots on Rt. 1. We have to walk a little further, but by the time we get to our car, we have no traffic.
