Lightbulb Locker room notes 9/4

The locker room just closed for the day, and several players drew big crowds this morning, including linebacker Adalius Thomas, defensive lineman Richard Seymour and wide receiver Wes Welker. Here are a few quotes of note from this morning’s action with passing along:Richard SeymourOn comparing his situation this year to last year…Obviously, I don’t think [...]

As if we hadn't already figured out, Welker's proving he's not just drinking the Kool-Aid, he's mainlining it:

Quote:
Do you think [your] 112 catches last year will cause defenses to treat you differently this year?
My expectations for myself are to go out there and run the play and run it the way that the coaches have designed it and the way Tom expects me to run it and just going out there and playing hard, and letting everything else take care of itself. That’s the way we work.

I love Wes Welker. Love him to pieces. Thrilled that he's a Patriot.

But man, remind me to never again bother to read a Q&A with him. He's like BB, without the terseness...you have to read a full paragraph to discover he's revealed absolutely nothing.

Yeah, he does a nice job building up to the nothing he's going to tell you.

The man should definitely consider going into politics after his NFL career!

On how "Tom" looked this preseason.

"You know, he’s looked like, you know, like Tom, you know. Just throwing the ball around and making sure that he’s preparing just like everybody else., getting ready to go."

I wonder what this quote will spin into? "2 time SB MVP Tom Brady is now just Tom, the guy who throws the football... "
