Default Does Everyone Remember Their First Game ?

As the season is beginning to start ,I thought that an interesting topic would be to see which game was everyone's first game to attend live.My First Patriots Game was the year before they moved to Foxboro and it was at Harvard Stadium. The Opponent was Johnny Unitas and The Baltimore Colts. It was the game that Bob Gladieux got called out of the crowd to report to the Patriots Locker Room and He went out and made the opening tackle. Both of The Patriots' Starting Cornerbacks John Charles and Larry Carwell walked out of the Patriots Locker Room just before kickoff in a salary dispute.Just a typical "Day at The Office" in those days. Our big hope in those days was Ron Sellers, the Patriots First Draft Pick. They lost that day but I was hooked,39 years later ,I'm still on The Team

My first live Pats game was a Monday Nighter in 1981 against the Dallas Cowboys. Tony Dorestt ran wild and killed us. I'll never forget the big sign at Sulivan Stadium as we pulled in off the highway. It read, "Evreyone welcome except for Howard". For a kid from Toronto, it was an extraordinary experience.

The first Superbowl season, 2001, against the Browns, the last season at Foxboro Stadium. It snowed the night before, and it was freezing sitting in those old bleachers. And I loved every minute of it.

I attended the very first game against Denver. The Patriots'

defensive back tried to make an interception and missed. A

long yardage play resulted and it set up the winning field goal.

I have been a Patriots' nut ever since.

I was only seven, but, I was there for the very first Boston Patriot game and the ending was a heartbreaker.

9/9/60 Boston Vs Denver.

It was this game. Something about the National Guard being called in, I think.

They are in the top five - no doubt......the "safety" game was sweet.
