At Foxboro against the Vikings i think it was 91 or 92. Pats won with a field goal in overtime as the clock expired. I recall a delay of game due to the stadium losing the lights. Sounds on par for the old stadium.

The very first game in Shaefer stadium. The pats beat the Giants 20-14 in pre-season.

My first was another game in which the power went out: Jacksonville at Foxboro for the 96 AFC Championship. I was 10, and cold but had the time of my life. I can't wait to get back at Farvre twice this year.

My first game was much worse than my 1st time.

Froze my butt off on those aluminum seats that were oh so cozy.

Wondered why anyone in their right mind would want to watch a game in that place. An open concrete bowl built atop of hill with aluminum seats. Just leaving that place it felt 20 degrees warmer in the dirt parling lots than it did in the stadium ... ah my first time.... If only I had been old enough to drink .... I may have enjoyed it.

I am one of the very fortunate to have been born into season tickets and I was too young to remember my first game. It was when I was four and I have enjoyed easily over a hundered games since.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH DAD and BEFORE HIM PAPA JOE (THE MAN WITH THE VISION TO KNOW HOW MUCH THIS GAME WOULD DOMINATE OUR FAMILY AND GIVE US SOMETHING TO BOND OVER)

I think we were at the same game!!

1981 season, the Pats were like 1-13, and it was sub-zero, they lost to Buffalo something like 20-10, I went with a Buddy from High School we had between us, one set of gloves, one seat cushion, and a flask of whiskey (in one of those brown soft sided hunter flasks) and passed those three items between the two of us.

And yes, we were not old enough to drink (even with the 18 year old drinking age at that time).

This was my first game also, I could'nt hold my liqour so the details of the game were foggy but I was able to rally for the OT. Hey what can I say it's a long cold drive down from the stix.
