The LBs get more hate than they deserve. Despite all of their supposed speed inefficiencies, they were still only responsible for about 25% of the passing yards that the defense allowed in the second half of the season. A strong safety that's better in coverage would help a lot more than a coverage LB.

Hightower and Jones as DEs in a 34? I think when the Pats go back to the 34, these two will play OLB...

I love Spikes but yesterday he looked pretty slow many times... althought our LB depth is great.

spikes is most suited to a 3-4. honestly they probably all are but most of all him. but he's also our biggest playmaker. wouldn't dream of letting him go

Would Losing about 10lbs help Spikes. Prefer him to Mayo but yea....he can't stick to a TE

Hightower-Mayo-Spikes-Jones

Might be better than our 4-3, but where does Ninkovich play....

Losing 10 points isn't going to make Spikes fast. He's going to be slow no matter what, so he's best off being able to plow through offensive linemen like he was midseason before his knee acted up.

Hopefully Tavon Wilson will grow and be that LB/Safety that will swap with Ninko on pass downs.
I'm not quite sure that makes much sense. Jones and Hightower aren't 3-4 ends, Fletcher isn't a 3-4 OLB, and Ninkovich clearly plays better at 4-3 DE.

this LB will be slower than anything. Your primary rush OLB is jones which means Hightower will be dropping in coverage alot....Yikes. He also needs to cover TE. Ninko actually plays both DE and decent in coverage . he is more suited there than Hightower.

Funny , Gary guyton was tall , lanky and can fly. But he was not strong against the run and people ran him out of the state ....now we have the strong , tough to run against LB. they want a lanky fast guy who can run !!!
