Jets News: Revis Limited Due to Hamstring

ESPNNewYork.com’s Rich Cimini reported on Thursday that Jets defensive back Derrelle Revis complained of tightness in a hamstring and was limited Thursday in practice.

Obviously the match-up of the week is expected to happen when he takes on Randy Moss this Sunday, but Rex Ryan told the media Thursday he’s “not overly concerned,” and does expect Revis to play this weekend.

Regarding Moss, Revis says he plans on being “everywhere he goes”, which he was during last year’s first meeting at the Meadowlands.  Moss was held to 4 catches for 24 yards (6.0 avg) in their first meeting against them last year, with Brady’s lone interception coming on a deep pass attempt where Revis got inside and took the ball away.

“I think the whole nation knows I’ll be on Randy, going everywhere he goes,” Revis said yesterday. “So I’ll be going everywhere he goes.”

Taylor, Edelman Both Participate At Practice

Patriots runningback Fred Taylor and wide receiver Julian Edelman both returned to practice on Thursday, after both have reportedly been battling foot injuries.

Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reported via Twitter that neither of the two appeared hampered by their injuries, and he believes Edelman may also return this week, which is good news as both he and Taylor are expected to be important factors in Sunday’s game.  Edelman had tried to play last week and was seen on the field prior to their game against the Bengals, but apparently couldn’t go and ended up being inactive.

According to a Herald report the only players not present were offensive lineman Nick Kaczur (back) and cornerback Terrence Wheatley (foot), with the newspaper reporting that Wheatley was seen and wasn’t wearing a protective boot on his foot, which is likely a sign of progress.
