It’s the start of a new week, and with the public part of Training Camp having ended last week, the Patriots won’t have the fans on hand to watch them get ready for their next exhibition contest on Thursday out in Detroit against the Lions.

Tom Brady says last week’s knee injury was an overblown storyline – Jeff Howe – Howe also has an entry on Brady appearance on WEEI’s Dennis and Callahan Monday morning, with Brady saying that had the incident happened during the regular season in a private practice, fans would probably have never even heard about it.

“There are a lot of people at practice that were witnessing,” Brady told WEEI’s Dennis & Callahan this morning. “If that was a Wednesday or Thursday practice during the regular season, you’d probably never hear anything about it. But it’s just obviously the nature of Twitter and all that social media and stuff.

“It happens on the practice field. It happens on the game field. You see so many injuries that have happened over the course of this preseason, so football is not for the faint of heart. You get bumps and bruises, and hopefully nothing is too series, and you can just bounce back from it and move on.”
