During Saturday’s game against Miami, he was called upon to punt six times in the first half, which was already the highest total of the season – and there were still two quarters to play.
Prior to this one the most punts Mesko had all season in one game was five, which happened during their loss to the Giants back on November 6th.
Fortunately he was given the second half off, with Tom Brady and company getting things in gear and racking up 27 second half points en-reoute to a 27-24 come-from-behind win over the Dolphins.
Here’s a look at Mesko’s workload this season:
Week one at Miami: 4 Punts, 152 yards
Week two vs San Diego: 2Punts, 85 yards
Week three at Buffalo: 3 Punts, 140 yards
