ProFootballTalk.com reported a few minutes ago that Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather has already found a new home.

According to the report he's signed a one-year deal out in Chicago with the Bears, although the terms of the deal haven't been disclosed.

The news comes less than a day after the Patriots opted to sever their ties with the embattled safety after they cut him yesterday while trimming their roster down to the 53-man limit.
