Head coach Bill Belichick announced a couple of transactions Monday morning during his press conference, with the team adding a wide receiver and a tight end to the mix with the two open spots they have on their roster.
The team added wide receiver Rod Owens, who played at Florida State but had some off the field issues after being arrested on a DUI charge that lead to him being suspended from the University in April of last year. Owens had 91 receptions for 1,080 yards and four touchdowns over his college career.
The tight end is Carson Butler, who was an undrafted free agent last year out of Michigan who hasn't been able to put things together so far in the NFL, spending time with five teams (Packers, Lions, 49ers, Bengals, and Giants) but not being able to find a home.
