With snow covering the field in Foxboro, Patriots runningback Sammy Morris was injured on the team's third offensive play of the game and had to be helped off the field after limping off.  He was replaced by Laurence Maroney.

Maroney had a productive game in his absence, finishing with 16 carries for 123- yards and a touchdown.
