Alex Marvez, Senior NFL Writer for FOXSports.com, is reporting that free agent defensive lineman Kevin Carter is drawing strong interest from the Patriots.

Carter started all 16 games for the Bucs in 2008, finishing with 49 tackles and four sacks. The 14-year veteran, who turns 36 in September, has played in every career game and missed only three starts since entering the NFL as St. Louis' first-round draft choice in 1995.
