Studs of the Game:
- Wes Welker
- Aaron Hernandez
- Danny Woodhead
Duds of the Game:
- Secondary
- PatriotsInsider from Twitter made note that “starting DBs are in the game. That’s the 3rd string Detroit offense scoring on them”. Arrington couldn’t cover a rock, McCourty was getting burned, and Butler was average.
- Offensive Line
- Tom Brady was hit, hit, and hit even more. Not a good day for the line.
- Refs
- I could swear the refs where wearing Lions uniforms out there
Players Who Helped Themselves:
- Julian Edelman
- Mike Petraglia called Edelman a “one-man attitude adjustment for the Patriots”
- Mathew Slater
- Slater didn’t hurt his chances and he did have a good catch, so in a game which had a lot of duds, Slater look good (shutters)
Players Who Didn’t Help Themselves:
- Darius Butler
- Kyle Arrington
- Couldn’t cover a rock
- Devin McCourty
- Nate Solder
- Sebastian Volmer
- Chad Ochocinco
- I keep hearing Joey Galloway’s name come up in the same breath as Ochocinco’s
Other Thoughts:
- Brandon Tate is now the odd man out
- Danny Woodhead didn’t look like he was still suffering from the hit during the Bucs game last week
- Wes Welker can tackle, but can also injure himself
- My rage meter hit a high during the game and forced my to walk away for a bit
- Didn’t the Lions go 4-0 the season they went 0-16…
Note: Sorry for the lack of videos and photos like I normally have in posts like these… There wasn’t many that came out of this game
